When I started this blog in 2014, I was a totally different person. We had just moved into a rental after selling our second home. I had two little ones and we were about to embark on a big adventure.
We weren’t even sure what the adventure would be, but life was rife with anticipation.
Now, five years later, I have a thriving business and we are on the opposite coast of where we started our story. I now have another little one who is about to turn two, and just so much has changed in the years since I started this little project.
As I am approaching my eighth year in business, I find myself called back to this little blog, this piece of the internet that is mine, personally, and share my big plans for the future.
In the past five years, I have wrestled with a few things when it came to business and life and the balance of mommyhood and all the big dreams I have. I also wrestled with how much is too much. How much do I give and how much do I keep? And what is mine solely as an individual?
This blog will take a slightly different direction than it has in the past – it will be a place for me to share behind the scenes as I try to balance following my dreams and being the best mom I can be. And it will also be a practical place for me to share the techniques that work from me. This is everything from time management to organization, to hiring or enlisting help, and everything in between.
I hope you will come along with me on this journey. I want to pull back the curtain of what it is like to try to cut through the chaos and confusion and also share some real wins with you. I firmly believe a lot of homemakers (or halfway homemakers like myself) were never really taught how to manage a home and kids and everything else. Especially in this new world that we live in with ever so much more responsibility. I hope to make sense of this whole homemaking thing, and I hope in some little way it helps you!
Till next time, Happy Homemaking!
