Gift in a Hurry

My daughter’s teacher abruptly let the parents know she was leaving the school two days before her last day. In the meantime, we were also taking my the kids to Disneyland for my daughter’s birthday and were just recovering from her epic birthday extravaganza.

So, of course, Friday morning at 7:30 am, I realized I needed a going-away gift for the teacher. And I needed to get Ms. Divalicious in the car in 30 minutes.

This is what I came up with:

Cupcake in a Jar

Yes, a cupcake in a jar! I had an insane amount of mason jars left from I craft I decided against for my daughter’s party, and I had just bought cupcakes a few days before from the grocery store. Since they were not a flavor my husband liked, they had lasted more than a day.

I also had some cute chalkboard labels from the abandoned craft and some pretty twine.

So I cleaned the new mason jar, popped in the cupcake, and decorated the lid. Took me all of five minutes, and looked adorable.

That was my Martha Stewart moment for the month. Thank you, that is all.
