Homemade No-Bake Peanut Butter Cups | The Halfway HomemakerMy husband loves peanut butter cups. Whether from Trader Joes or Reeses, they are his absolute favorite treat. He was having a bad week, so I decided to surprise him with homemade peanut butter cups. I found this amazing recipe from Musings From a Stay at Home Mom that is so quick and easy and put a smile on my hubby’s face.

Makes about 8 large peanut butter cups.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 4 teaspoons butter, slightly melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions

Mix 1/2 cup of peanut butter, almost melted butter, powdered sugar, and salt in one bowl. Place in an icing bag or ziplock bag and cut off one corner.

In a separate bowl, microwave both the semisweet and milk chocolate chips, along with the other 1/2 cup peanut butter until melted and smooth. Start at 1 minute and stir, then heat at 20-30 second intervals stirring each time, until melted and smooth. Place in separate icing bag or ziploc with corner cut.

Line a muffin tin with muffin cups. This also works with the mini cups and liners. Squeeze chocolate filling into bottom of liner, about 1/4 full, then squeeze peanut butter filling into center of chocolate filling. Cover with more chocolate until peanut butter is covered.

Chill for at least 1 hour until firm. Enjoy!

Keep prepared cups refrigerated. Best about 10 minutes out of the fridge.
