The Midlands Rail Engine project aims to create a rail hub to improve connectivity across the region with improved rail links between 30 different locations. In this presentation Midlands Connect head of integrated transport Karen Heppenstall sets out the proposed project timelines for the scheme that has been valued at £900M to £1.5bn.

Heppenstall also sets out Midlands Connect’s role as a sub-national transport body in driving the project forward and how it fits with its broader transport plans for the region.
