Watch: Building flood defences on the world’s first tidal energy-powered deep sea container terminal

This video was filmed at NCE’s Flood Resilience conference.

In this session, Centre Port chief executive James Sutcliffe provides an overview of Centre Port, a tidal barrage across The Wash in East Anglia linking Norfolk and Lincolnshire.

Sutcliffe’s presentation covers key elements of the £2bn scheme, including a hydro-electric dam that will power 500,000 homes and support the production of green hydrogen.

The session provides detail on Centre Port’s tidal powered deep-sea container terminal and explains how the project will deliver on its mission to decarbonise shipping port operations.
