Watch: How technology can minimise disruption caused by bridge inspection and repairs

This video was recorded at NCE’s 2023 Bridge Design and Management conference

National Highways deputy head of structures Colin George, Atkins professional head of civil engineering structures and geotechnics Chris Mundell and Jacobs nondestructive testing (NDT) technologies consultant James Watson talk about the range of technologies National Highways’ asset management team is using to improve efficiency of bridge inspections and maintenance. There is also a discussion on how these technologies can help minimise disruption to road users from these works.

Watson provides insight on the trials of NDT during the demolition of a section of A14 Huntingdon Viaduct.
